Image Tuner is a comprehensive and powerful application to work with images. An all-in-one photo editing app, Image Tuner integrates an image converter, resizer, renamer, plus the possibility of adding watermarks and applying common effects and filters to your pictures.
The application is able to read and output images in JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP formats. Besides, its batch processing capabilities let you work with several photos simultaneously, which, as any time-saving option, is highly appreciated.
Its interface is divided into three resizable panels and offers two image visualization modes; list and thumbnails. It supports drag and drop, as well as loading folders with numerous images. Overall it's easy to figure out how to get started.
To the left of the screen, you will find a panel containing the program's editing features, which consists of drop-down menus. Tasks like converting a photo to another format or adjusting its levels of hue or saturation seem easy to apply. It just requires you to check the corresponding option and adjust its levels either using sliders or changing the values manually. However, I found that this menu arrangement is not very convenient, I think it's mainly a design thing; it looks outdated and cluttered.
As in any image editing app, the image viewer is expected to show you the changes made to a selected image. This is not the case, and only a few parameters are instantly reflected in the viewer, like image rotation and flipping. It does not display changes in levels of brightness or contrast, for example, nor watermarks. more
